I feel like I'm really starting to get a handle on that elusive beast called "style." It's funny to me that when I stop trying to find my style it jumps out from behind a corner and yells, "Boo!"
My illustration-illiterate first reaction, I have to say, is that it reminds me of the style in Curious George: vivid, with good contrast in the outlines.
I love this. Right away I want to know the story behind it. What's in the tree that has them both worried? The colors are great and the grass sprinkler fountain, along with everything else.
will, this is awesome!! wow!! as much as i hate not having you in the studio, you're doing some awesome work on the computer- and i really really really love the drawings, too!! :)

I really like the contrast in color. I agree with Alan, it does have a Curious George feeling.
And I just love you...
I love the comments...and knowing the storing behind it :) I love what the illustration is accomplishing in portraying reality and imagination.
I notice the dad is wearing Converse. lol
What else would he wear?
I don't think I really know how to draw any other shoes. Maybe I should do some research on footwear.
I agree with so many others, this is one of my favorite pictures, and I love the contrasting colors.
