I'm trying out a few new things. First I'm trying to create something cute without being saccharine. Second I'm trying out a mixed media process that I think gives good results quickly. I'm going to have to play with this process to see how far I can push it, but I am pleased so far.

I really like this style. Very rich coloring and texture.
What's your process? How much of this is done digitally?
It's actually mostly traditional work. I did a graphite drawing, an ink drawing and a rough painting. Then I composited those three elements in Photoshop and threw on a couple of adjustment layers.
Let me know if you want a more detailed explanation. I could do it again and write a post about it.
This is how I pictured the little girl in Charlotte's Web. Innocent, but thoughtful. I like the colors.
I really like both the technique and the color.
It looks like Penny on The Rescuers. I like the color scheme.
Ha, that's funny you recognized that. I was looking at stills of the Rescuers when I was drawing her.
Good call. Maybe I should mix it up a bit.
